I'm trying to finalize my interview trip list and, much like the rest of my life, I am limited by money. Can we get a running list of programs that give perks to interviewees like free hotels/dorms, dinners, flights, etc? I know it shouldn't be the deciding factor of whether or not to go, but right now it is cost-prohibitory to visit a lot of places. Thanks.

Geisinger used to provide a hotel room (not sure if they still do).

Baystate, Albany and Maine all provide free hotel

Henry Ford provides lodging for 1 night to out of town interviewees.

It seems like the more north/east you head, the greater chance of the perks....

Just what I noted last year.

I interviewed in the south and NE....every place in the NE gave a hotel, non in the south. Classmate did the south (some diff places) and the west...she never got one hotel room period.

County program - unlikely to provide perks
Academic program - some will (Cinci provides a hotel room for two nights).
Community - much more likely to provide perks.

At Scott & White/Texas A&M, we take you to dinner the night before, put you up in a hotel, feed you a catered breakfast in the morning and take you out to lunch after the interview.

Take care,
Jeff

Synergy- one night hotel

I still have yet to hear of any EM program offering airfare help... I know last year several FM, Peds, and IMers got like $200 vouchers...plus all the other dinners, hotels, etc...

kalamazoo and grand rapids give free hotel/B and B

Most of the places I am interviewing at cover dinner the night before and breakfast/lunch the day of.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is also providing free hotel.

University of Oklahoma-Tulsa provides free hotel and airfare.
