Hi! Ive been a SDN lurker for quite sometime, and I would love to hear all of your responses to my situation
A couple of weeks ago, I went to my pre-med advisor on campus to see what actions I should take on contacting a couple of schools. For UIC, she proceeded to call a guy she knew there because my application was complete last August. She told me the person she talked to apologized profusely and said that there must have been a mistake in their system because I was supposed to receive an interview last October. My interview is this Thursday (Feb 2). Now, for any other school, I would interview normally, but for those familiar with UIC, there are three different sites: Chicago, Peoria, Rockford. I really would like to be on the Chicago campus, but with it being so late in the interviewing process, I have a feeling my shot of getting that site preference is pretty low.
Thoughts? Say something at the interview about the mistake? Depend on them to have made a note in my file? Talk about wanting to be on the Chicago campus or just be pleased to be interviewing?
Thanks 🙂
