Is it beneficial to set up an interview later or earlier to the program that you really want to go to?

there is an article on if interview date affects match list position...
i think the answer was it didn't but i did not reread the article.
just realize the first few interviews you will be more nervous and may not realize the best questions to ask. you'll realize that you will be asking questions based on what you saw or learned on your previous interviews.
however, by mid to late Jan, you may be all interviewed out.... it gets kind of tedious and boring -- meet the program head people, meet the residents, get a tour, eat lunch, listen to a slideshow, etc...
finally, if you interview real early at a place you like (for instance early to mid Nov) and you want to rank it high later, you can do a second look to help refresh your memory and the program's memory of you.
most programs, i think, rank people (high, mid, low, no) right after the interview day to keep things fresh in their mind. and then combine all the people and finalize it after the entire season..
