Interview Question

any ideas on how to go about answering this question:

Are you an ethical person? How, why?

They're asking you, in a roundabout way, to explain how you go about making your own moral decisions. Kind of difficult to tell you how to answer that question, other than the fact that the underlying issue is most likely whether or not you're an absolutist or a relativist.

I think it's something you can answer only by yourself. Think whether you're an ethical person or not. Think of some examples in your life.

Interviewer: Are you an ethical person?
Applicant: No

Interviewer: Can you give me an example?
Applicant: I lie.

Interviewer: You lie?

Applicant: When I answered your earlier question about being ethical, I was lying.

lol! Good stuff, but how would this fly in an interview? :meanie:

It would be ****ing awesome. You know, if I get an acceptance and I know I'm going there, I would just go to one of my later interview for another school to try this answer out just for the heck of it.

Are you an ethical person?

That is a yes-no question, so you have a 50% chance of getting it right just by guessing. If you have some common sense, the odds go up to 100%.

👍

I wonder if this has actually happened in an interview...
