Do you think it's a good idea to flat out tell the adcom interviewing you that they are your number one and you will 100% go there if accepted? Or do you think they will just brush it aside and think you tell every school that?

Many many people do this. In my opinion it won't do much to help you. They could ask as well, if you got in there are somewhere else would you pick their school? Pretty common question from what I hear.

I would think if you do say this, it would be more important to be able to back that up by showing and telling why it's your number 1 choice.

Better you should tell her what you like about her... what has attracted you to her, why you asked her out...


Why did you choose this school, what characteristics does it have that attracts you to it, what is it about YOU that makes this school such a good fit with your interests, learning style, career plans?
