i really need them from you guys. please keep the site in mind and write some reviews for the schools you've been to. doesn't matter if there are 5 already up there; people like to get as much information as possible - i imagine many of you felt the same way.

Thanks for posting this. I've already read every review on the site about a dozen times, and I'm really hoping that current applicants write updated reviews. I'll be happy to contribute later this month once I start interviewing. 👍

Last year I didn't get in reviews to all the interviews that I went too simply because they started to pile up. As you all obviously know, that website is one of the first and most important places that applicants go to get the info on MD/PhD programs.

Try to write up a one page review of the interview experience on your trip home. I regret not doing this for all my interviews because it's best to get it done while things are fresh in your mind - that's going to help you and lots of other applicants in the future.

In addition to the full reviews, maybe there should also be something shorter in the format of the SDN reviews. It is just very difficult to write reviews when you have a number of interviews which already limit the time for schoolwork. I would be much more inclined to fill out a quick review with a form than write a full review which might take me an hour.

if many people think this might be helpful, i can attempt to implement it (though my time for an undertaking like that is rather limited). it seemed to me that the sparse format of the sdn reviews didn't give as much insight as this format (the questions one gets in md/phd interviews would largely be research/case specific/interviewer specific).

i tried to organize a section written by recent graduates about why they went into their respective residency choices, but they proved a bit difficult to chase down (and again, i was lacking in time). if there is interest, and there are lurkers who are in the position to explain the appeal of various specialties to an md/phd - it would be great to hear from them.

No, it does not. But I think many more people would be willing to submit short reviews. I think both options should be available, so people who want to take the time can submit the long reviews which are definitely more helpful.

I think a template which people could fill out would be enough. You could put the full reviews on top and the short, template-based reviews on the bottom.

the intransit.us reviews were especially good for less organized programs. And there's nothing better to do on the plane ride back anyways except to reflect on your trip 🙂
