interview scheduling, CCLCM or Case first? weekend in between two interviews?

Just wondering, does anyone know if it'd be nicer to have the CCLCM interview first or the Case University interview first? They're supposed to be on two consecutive days and I need to schedule the interviews, but I thought i'd ask before i call to figure out what the optimal dates would be. I'm from the Cleveland area and would be staying home for the full weekend regardless of when I interview.

CCLCM interviews on M, Th, & F and Case interviews on M, T, F. Thus, I could hypothetically interview at CCLCM on Thursday & Case on Friday, or do an interview on Friday with a break over the weekend, and then one on Monday.

Do people think the break over the weekend between interviews would be helpful or harmful?

Call and schedule ASAP. i did so about a week ago and my interviews, because there had to be openings for both Case and CCLCM, were already pushed to post-Thanksgiving.

I thought a Friday/Monday one might be nice, but see what your options are when you call them. I was offered the Monday(CCLCM)/Tuesday(Case) option and just took it. Since you live around Cleveland, I don't think you should worry too much about which days you're interviewing where.

i did absolutely nothing productive at work today, and i'm off on wednesday at another ohio school...and i have a lot due at the end of this week....oy. but i'm so excited for Case and CCLCM!

i have my next round of ohio schools in late october and totally not looking forward to the drive back. 👎 though im happy i have interviews...

congrats on case and cclcm! they are collectively my top choices so i was jumping up and down when i got them too. 😍😍

Yes, you get them at the same time if you're going to get them so you can schedule them together.

It makes absolutely no difference whatsoever, except that if you do it two days in a row you'll be more tired. 😉 The CCLCM interview day is shorter this year compared to previous years, but it's still pretty long (7:30 to 4:00 or 4:30 if you're URM). If you're going to stay here for the whole weekend anyway, pick any two days that are convenient for you. The adcomm doesn't care one way or the other.

Yes, you get them at the same time if you're going to get them so you can schedule them together.

Usually it is true. They try really hard not to make people come out here twice if both programs are going to invite them. They would have done that for you too if you hadn't told them not to. 🙂

Does Lerner admit on a rolling basis? In other words, am I at a disadvantage interviewing late late November? I have the same concern with Case, though I am less worried because they have more slots, but with CCLCM at 32/class and me having an obsession with that school, I am worrried.

Yes, it's rolling admissions, but you're fine with a November date. CCLCM starts interviewing later than a lot of other schools, so November is still pretty early here. We just had our first interview day on Monday of this week, and interviews will keep going on through March. I didn't interview here until late January two years ago, and at least a couple of my classmates interviewed in February. Good luck!
