How far in advance should you notify a program that you are dropping an interview? 1 week? 2 weeks? More? Just want to make sure I don't upset the program and word spreads back to my home program. Appreciate any thoughts here.

Also, I know it's a long shot at this point, but Cleveland Clinic:

I also want to know this...when is it too late to cancel an interview. Right now I am double booked but still wavering on which one to go to. Both are convenient for travel purposes. Program A's faculty member wrote me a letter of rec but I would prefer to interview at Program B because I prefer program B's location/program. What would you do?

Honestly I think as soon as you know you can't make it you should cancel and at a minimum two weeks. That gives time to pick someone off the wait list, notify them and for the other person to make travel plans. If they end up with an empty interview slot because you cancelled at the last minute, I would venture to guess they would be displeased.
