OK, so I have gotten into medical school. However, I'm really really interested in the school's regional campus; it's everything I could want in a medical education. I recently went to a very low-key, casual informational/interview event, and while I think I left a good impression, I want to make sure I do everything I can to get invited here (since the regional campus is small, there are significantly fewer seats).
I remember when I went to my actual interview for admission to the med school, I sent thank-you notes to my interviewers, the admissions director, and the secretary. Here, I had 5 interviewers, a tour van driver, multiple medical students, an admissions director, and a patient who interviewed me (yeah, it's a weird situation) and also hung out with me during lunch and the tour. I would be happy to write letters to all of them, but I worry that it might look too desperate because of the informal nature of the event. How do you decide who to give a thank-you note?

I'd just do the admissions director, but not again if this is the same person as the one you gave before. I think it is okay to not give one.
You can give a handwritten one to the admissions director thanking the opportunity meeting with everyone (med students, etc.)

It might be too much and yeah it might look desperate.

Personal anecdote. I was accepted and am now a student at the only school I didn't send thank you notes to. I'm sure it's just random coincidence, but take it as you will 🙂

Do

Don't waste time unless your momma raised you to e polite. If this is the case, just send it to the Admissions Dean.

OK, that makes sense. Thanks for the advice, guys! I'm glad I didn't just go for it, haha

Is it seriously a thing to send thank you notes to the admission comittee??
