Saw this in last years archives, thought that it may be helpful to shave off some of the costs of interviewing. Post if you would like to share transportation, hotels, etc.

I have Yale on 10/11, have not booked flight yet, but was wandering if anyone else getting there Friday for the pre-interview event would like to share ground transportation (rental car, cab, shuttle) from either Hartford or NY. If anyone has other suggestions on where to fly to besides New Haven let me know.

Anyone going to Cleveland Clinic on 11/5? Also, what should women wear to the reception before? Is it appropriate to wear your hair down during the interview?

eyecare - going to be at Clev Clinic earlier this month, sorry. I would think leaving your hair down is fine.. as long as it doesn't get unwieldy, hehe.

anyone going to be at Yale 12/12 or 12/13? perhaps some airport shuttle sharing? I think for now I plan to fly in to Hartford. PM me if you want to share a ride to New Haven.

Not sure of the best way to do this...so i guess ill just throw it all out there. Let me know if you want to share a hotel/ride to the school.

Also, for anyone interviewing at LSU-Shreveport, i can offer a free couch to sleep on and a ride to school in the morning for one or 2 people on the 11/1 date.

ok, I know this is a risk, but I also know how much I'm spending on interviews and wish someone would offer me something like this:

if you are interviewing at wash u on 12/2, are female and don't mind sleeping on my couch or floor, you can stay with me the evening of 12/1, and maybe 12/2.

if someone is living in portland and wants to host me on 11/21 and/or 11/22, I'd appreciate the help. or if you live in atlanta, and could offer me a place to sleep on 12/6, I could also use the help.

Anyone need a place to stay for their interview in the 'Burgh?
I'll be interviewing on Nov. 16th.
This is my hometown so if anyone wants to stay with me the night of the 16th, I've got a free futon. In fact I have 2, one a slightly more lumpy than the other. So if you don't mind sharing a bathroom with my roommate and myself (two female med students who don't snore) Then contact me.

I will be flying in from California ~7pm the night of the 15th so I will miss the reception, but try to contact me if you need a place to stay on the 15th as well and don't mind picking up the keys from me until after the reception.

There is no excuse to share ground costs for Northwestern. O'Hare and Midway Airport both are connected to the city by subway. Northwestern is within walking distance of a station.

The Academy meeting was recently in Atlanta. I stayed at an airport motel (national brand) for $45. That's cheap. Atlanta's subway system (MARTA) connect the airport with downtown.
