Interview without AMCAS verification...?

Can one be invited for an interview before AMCAS verification?

I am still on "hold" with AMCAS pending one stupid transcript from this high school program I took in 1995. I have received a few secondaries and I have sent them back with my LOR. My undergrad and grad transcripts have been received by AMCAS though.

Do you think the schools that have my secondary & LOR will invite me for an interview? or will they wait for AMCAS verification?

Yes, i have an interview Thursday and my application is still in line tobe verified, the school's secretary called me friday and asked that i e-mail my personal statement to them and mail my printed out AMCAS application.

A couple of years ago, a friend of mine who had submitted her AMCAS application and had it verified was offered an interview at Howard in less than 2 weeks from the verification of her AMCAS application. She did not even receive a secondary application, send out her LOR's or pay the secondary fee. BTW, she is not a URM nor was she a brilliant Rhodes scholar!!!! An interview without AMCAS verification.....I am not sure about this but anything is possible......Good luck!!!

We're in the same boat! I really hope AMCAS hasn't lost my transcript; one I sent later is listed as received, and I know the one in question is sitting somewhere in that office in DC😡

the interview is my state school, I have applied before, no interview though. but, i just received my master's(neuro-3.6)from this school and I do research here and countless volunteer hours in this institution, and lastly i have been talking off and on to this dean for several years.. Now I am really going to freak some of you guys out, my MCAT is 23. yep, that's right.. I tell you if you really want this thing you must have contact with the dean of the school really wantt to go to or in my case the school you most realistically can get in to.

You don't have to mention the school name (unless it's in NY, in that case PM it to me so I can apply also 😉 😀 )..but mention what state you are in.

It is in Louisiana. Only two state schools and one private.
