Interviewed recently at nova??? Thoughts?

Hi,

I just wanted to hear about some recent experiences with nova and their interviews and what your thoughts were of the school. Any input is much appreciated!! 😀 Also, if anyone knows about how full the class is now, please share. Thank you!

I interviewed about 2 months ago. I'm not lying when I say that it was extremely laid back.

I was signed up for the morning interviews. So I arrived 15-20min before the interviews and was told to sit in a lobby with a bunch of other interviewees. Some were there for PA, some for optometry, and a bunch of other programs. Fran came around a bit later and explained what the day was going to be like. Interviews are held with two interviewers. Generic questions (why optometry, why NOVA, where do you see yourself in the future...) After the interviews, Fran gave us a talk about the program and some financial things. We then got to sit and chat with the associate dean over some sandwiches. Finally, we got a tour around the health division buildings with 4 first year optometry students and that was the end of the day for me. There were some people who interviewed in the afternoon.

Thank you so much for the info! How long was your actual interview and how long did it take to hear back from them?

The interview itself was 15-20min? It's scheduled for 30min, but it rarely takes the full amount of time. I got my answer within a week by email.
