I'd sincerely hope the Stencher isn't applying to medical school...maybe I'm being naive. :d

now all we need is a crapper interviewer comic!

Seen it before, still think it's funny; thanks for sharing! Also, coincidentally, this is a good guide for "what not to do" at an interview.

It would be awesome if people showed up to interviews in tuxedos tho... just because it would be hilarious.

lol

2. The I don't give a **** about you interviewer

5. The I don't know what I am doing medical student interviewer
6. The I know your appliction better than you do interviewer

It seemed like 80% of the people I met on the interview trail were appeasers. The other 20% were pretty cool. I bet the appeasers get the most awesomest acceptances.

Personally, I don't think overdressing = wearing expensive clothes. Can someone define for me what overdressing would by typified by, besides wearing a tuxedo?

8. The I've never opened your file until now so I'm going to spend most of the interview reading it and asking rhetorical questions about it interviewer.
9. The I'm going to ask you a completely off the wall, unrelated "creative" question to see how you answer even though I probably won't give it a thought later interviewers

The dog in your avatar is overdressed.

Definitely had a couple of underdressers at one of my interviews. I was really surprised.

12. (similar to #11.. but doesn't stare... just doesn't betray any emotions) The stoic interviewer
13. The interviewer who tells you more about herself than she finds out about you

Just brought to my attention and too funny not to share:

Some are more commonly seen on the interview trail including the over-dresser, the mute, the talker, the nervous twitcher, the apologizer, and the appeaser. -- Maybe the bullsh*tter too.

I'm curious about the overdresser.

The Talker and The Mute are so true. Some people don't know when to shut up and you can hardly get a word out of others.

Me too! We had a girl who looked like she didn't even brush her hair, wear any jewelry, or put on any make up at all! She mixed and matched her blazer with her pants (they were obviously not from the same suit) and wore an old looking green turtleneck with it. And she wore brown clogs...I was shocked.

I would LOVE to see pics of the crazy stuff people wear to interviews...next time snap a cell phone pic

could've just been a bad day.

Me, too. Seriously, besides a tux, what is considered overdressing for a professional interview?? A pocket square or something?

Or is overdressing = over flamboyant in colors and patterns?

Looking like a member of the chorus from Guys & Dolls (guy): wide lapels, wide pin-stripes, dark shirt, striped tie. Might have left his hat in the waiting room.

Women it is more a case of "undressed" as in tight, shiny, and see-through. Also really dressy spike heels with peek-a-boo toes that seem like more "after work" shoes.

It's not the end of the world but eyes roll when we see someone like that. Thankfully, it is rare.

I actually saw this a lot along the interview trail - spiked heels and even some platform heels. Lots of strappy sandals too that just didn't seem to go with a suit.

Haha ...The Appeaser. Sounds a lot like me. In real life, I'm quiet and shy, but when I'm interviewing I'm a completely different person: confident and happy.

Most of the people I saw were pretty good...mostly nice suits or a nice business shirt and skirt. I do remember though at my first interview that this girl was wearing these hideous platform type flip flops that were super bulky. I just kept thinking to myself that its an interview...I don't need to see her toes. Plus, they weren't done so I pretty much spent the whole time wondering why decided to look like she ran out of the house late that morning and just slipped her mom's grocery shopping flip flops on without giving herself a pedi.

Hm, for overdressing - black suit with very narrow charcoaly pinstripes qualify?

I always know when I'm watching porn. If I don't know, it's not porn...at least not to me.

That's my philosophy.

More common.

Interviewer walks in.... Im looking for mr. X

Interviewee: Hi Im X. See you later guys
Other interviewees: Good Luck X (audible).....I hope you Burn!! MMMHaha (inaudible)
