interviewing too late?

I recently got an interview invite to COMP-Western U. I am from NY, and was already planning a trip to Long Beach, CA during winter break in order to visit family and friends. Therefore, I scheduled my interview for January 20, 2006. Is this late to be interviewing? Is there still a decent amount of seats open at this time? I'd hate to have to make 2 trips out to cali in such a short period of time, $$ is tight as it is! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Too bad the search function isn't working, but I got the impression that COMP has slots open pretty late. Maybe you could check out the COMP class of 2009 and 2008 posts in the osteo forum to see when people were interviewing and when they got accepted.

January isn't bad at all. They accept application till April.
