I was just perusing the NRMP Match Communication Code of Conduct, which raises some interesting rules (forum won't let me link for some reason, just google search "NRMP match communication code"). Now that I am about halfway point through these GI interviews, I've DEFINITELY noticed they are different than the internal medicine interviews. There are at least 70% of the interviews I have been on where questions asked are in direct violation of one of these codes of conduct, with some programs violating multiple ones (especially the questions on other places where I am interviewing at). I don't remember my IM interviews ever asking questions that violate these. Obviously it's not prudent to report this unless you want to put your foot in your mouth, but just thought this was an interesting observations. What's been you all's experience of the interviews?
