So I was just wondering, do the dental universities that you get interview invites for ALWAYS hold the interviews at that particular university? or do they also arrange interviews to be held in places closer to the applicants home?

just wondering cuz it seems like it's gonna cost a LOT of $$ to travel to lets say, 3 universities to do interviews especially since each applicant probably spends hundreds of dollars on applications as it is...

I think only one or two schools do regional interviews in particular parts of the country. However, for most interviews, you will have to travel to that particular university. It does cost a lot but that's just how the game is played. I had 6 interviews out of state and had to fly out to each school. It's expensive but it's a drop in the bucket compared to the tuition you'll be paying to attend dental school. Besides... a few hundred dollars for travelling is a steal if it allows you to pursue your dreams. It's really quite a deal in the end. 😉
