Hi everyone!

Saw the thread about MCATers in the range of 28-32, and was wondering where the love was for all of us who were under 28. Please let me know I am not alone here!

I am interesting to know your status with interviews, etc. I need to know that there is hope. I have only been complete at my schools for about a week now (I know I am LATE!), so I am curious as to how others are doing in the process!

THANKS!

two interviews...26 MCAT, but they are at state schools.

28Q here with 2 state interviews

so how do you guys feel about these interviews? Ive had one, and I amm soo scared...and one is coming up. Im pretty sure I wont get any other interviews but glad at least got these.

I feel like it's easy for schools to place us on post-interview waitlists unless our interviews are stellar. I'm hoping that schools look beyond the numbers and agree that we can handle the med school coursework since they granted us interviews.

three out of states and one state school so far with a 27N. URM too if that makes a difference

27M

3 interviews that turned into 3 acceptances...2 private schools, 1 state school.

I was in the first interview batch at one school, the third at another and the very first interview at one of my state schools.

The first interview I had went really well (I think). It was academically closed-file, so the interviewers didn't know my MCAT or GPA. I suppose that precluded me from being able to explain myself, but it also took a lot of pressure off me. I felt like it gave me the opportunity to show them who I am and why I'm into medicine.

26N here. 2 Interviews so far, both at state schools. I *might* find out this week about how well it went.

28P. 2 interviews at out-of-state schools. URM too with 3.88 GPA. Hopefully, I get in somewhere.

would you mind sharing which schools please?

Seven interview offers. One osteo and six allo.

Don't dispair. You are more than a number.

I've interviewed at:

ETSU
UMKC
KCUMB
Mizzou

I have interviews scheduled at:

WVU
VCU
Tulane

I have a 29 if you keep my highest sections from two MCATs, otherwise I have a 28. Sooooooo- one interview (NYMC) that is finished, I can expect to hear sometime in December, I hope! One acceptance to osteo, Michigan State, and I declined the other osteo school's interview offer. I only have 3 rejections so far, and have been complete everywhere save one school since August, so I'm hoping I might get some second batch love in the new year!

27O w/ a 3.81 - and I've got 1 interview next week for an instate school. So needless to say with a lower MCAT score I'm keeping my fingers crossed. 😀

26M MCAT, 3.95 GPA. 3 interviews and 1 acceptance so far. Good luck to everyone else!

27 best single or 29 best combined...1 interview so far at state school...hoping for more to come.

27Q with one private OOS MD interview.

...

*waits for mod to move to DO forum

Those that have acceptances, if you could mention the schools you got accepted into, it would really make this thread worthwhile...Much appreciated!!😀👍

This is awesome to hear all these people getting interviews. Let us know of your results once they come in. Its also good to know its possible to get interviews out of state. So good job my friends!🙂

Update: The school I was accepted to was USUHS. Just wanted to post what school I was accepted to.

I would like to reiterate, if you guys could put where you were interviewed/accepted that would be most appreciated!!!😀👍 Please remember what it was like when you were sans interview...And thanks to those who updated with their schools😍

Let's have hope!

28M. Two state schools (CA), and one out-out-state (public).

Got an interview invite a couple of days ago from SIU! I was so excited. I am hoping schools can see past my MCAT score and see me for the person that I am 🙂
Good luck everyone!

I have a 25Q and just got an interview from GW. I put in my applications before I got my mcat score. I am all set to retake the mcat and reapply next year because I thought in no way would I ever get an interview. Can someone tell me what this is about? How weird.

Good luck everyone!

26O and I had my SIU interview on Tuesday. I'm an alum 2x over and it's my number one choice.

From my interview conversations, SIU seems to place more emphasis on extracurriculars/experience and how well you fit with their philosophy and whether they think you'll end up staying in IL as a doc.

How did your SIU interview go, Meg?
