Interviews for MCATers under 28

how much does mcat matter after interview? why would they call you for interview if your mcat is very low, and there is a great chance of a rejection? I keep asking myself that question...what you think?

28 here... applied MD-only. 3 interview invitations so far, 1 acceptance. FWIW, my GPA is below nat'l average as well.

I don't think they would reject you after an interview purely because of a low mcat. Maybe a low mcat and crappy interview could get you a rejection. Though it seems like most schools, or at least the ones I've interviewed at, give you some kind of rating based on a long list of factors. mcat is a big part of it, but so is your gpa, ec's, life experiences, etc. Stats are important but most schools want diversity so someone who really stands out can get in over someone with a higher mcat any day of the week.
