Anyone who has been interview @ MCV please respond. I would like to know from those whom have been interviewed, has anyone of you been interviewed by a female? If so, please give me her name and what sort of questions she asked you during the interview. I have my interview this coming Monday and I've heard that my interviewer is going to be a female. I would just like to get a heads up before I go into the interview. Also, any helpful hints would be appreciated. 🙂

I interviewed with Winnie Chan, and she didn't ask any specific, formulated questions, we just had a discussion about parenting (I want to go into peds), what books I'm reading, how I like New Mexico, stuff like that.

From what I've heard ALL of the interviews are like this--purposefully conversational. I think you're worrying too much about it, just relax and be yourself and answer honestly.

i also had Dr. Chan. i thought she was great. definitely nothing to worry about if you get her. the interviewers at mcv serve as your spokesperson at the committee meeting. they are just interested in finding out enough about you so that they can do a good job of fighting for a position for you. the entire day at mcv is very relaxed and enjoyable. have fun.

by the way, she is a phd, not md

I had Dr. Kristen Powell back in September. She works in the Neonatal ICU and is really awesome. If you get her, don't sweat it, she's really nice and laid back.

I also had Dr. Kristen Powell. Jacob, how funny that we had the same doctor. She was awesome! So nice. 2/2 with Dr. Powell. Good luck.

Thanks guys...

My interviewer was Dr. Al-Matten. She is a child psychiatrist. Really really cool. I totally enjoyed our chat and was able to explain my life in excrutiating details to her. This was truly the most laid back-talk about your self kind of an interview. Dont stress out and be prepared to have fun....
Good luck.

How funny, I also interviewed with a child psychiatrist, but her name was Dr. Sood. I think she was from India. Great interview!

Hey guyz, I know this is really bad but I forgot my interviewers' name and would like to know if anyone else had her. I want to send her a card so please help me out here. She was a dark skin lady and a doctor who was very nice. I don't know much else about her. please post your reply ASAP. Thanks....
