I just interviewed at a place that really values the fact that they don't do stress interviews. Subsequently, everyone felt like they had a positive interviewing experience, and that their interview went fabulously. Obviously, this cannot be the case for everyone, so how can one differentiate a good or bad interview experience at such schools? Is having an especially long interview usually positive? What do you guys think?

I doubt there will be anything simple that you can do or think about to determine whether or not you had a 'good' interview. What is going to end up happening is most people will have a positive interview experience at this school, but the school will only be looking for a certain set of characteristics that they want in a student. Thus, everyone will feel good about their interview, but only some student will match what the school is looking for.

In any event, I'd recommend that you just be happy that you had a good interview. If you had experienced a 'stress' interview, all the school would know is whether or not you're good at interviewing. At least this way, you know that the school got good information about you, even though you can't really be sure if they liked you or not.

Wow, I just had an interview like this, and now you're adding to my neuroticism!

Seriously though, I think most people will tend to think they aced an interview unless they did REALLY horribly. That's one reason to do practice interviews: so that someone can honestly tell you, "You're being too negative" or "You need to sell yourself more."
