Interviews with August '02 MCAT???

Has anyone who took the August MCAT, this being the second, third, etc time you've taken it, had any interviews or been recently invited for interviews? If yes, what schools and what are your stats (gpa and MCAT) and URM status. Thanks

A friend of mine took the August MCAT and has received 3 interviews so far😱 He has interviewed at GWU and USUHS. He found out this week about another interview at MCW. He had taken the MCAT before. I won't post his stats, since they are not mine, but he isn't a URM. There is hope for us August MCATers. I find myself checking the mail obsessively but realistically I don't expect any interview invites for atleast a couple of weeks since schools are just beginning to receive my new scores. Good luck to all August MCATers and the interviews will come soon.

I hadn't ever taken the MCAT before August, so I'm waiting by the telephone, waiting for an interview invite. Waiting! It can drive one insane. Good thing SDN is around, or I'd be forced to take up knitting.

yeah i'm still waiting too...kinda depressing that so many people already interviewed and I haven't ...worried all the spots are going to be taken away...

I have 2 interviews upcoming so far prob b/c of my previous mcat score...but for the new ones i'm still waiting

I have had interviews at Vandy, UCHSC, Pitt, and an invite from NYMC. I took the August 2001 and August 2002 MCATs and am reapplying this year. While some schools chose to process my app with my first score, others held my apps until the new score came in. Unfortunately, I didn't
improve, so it all turned out to be a futile effort.

Stats:
3.65 GPA (3.62 BCPM) from a good school
34 S August 2001
34 Q August 2002

BTW: I checked today on N'western's app status page, and the "HOLD FOR AUGUST MCAT SCORE" box changed from a yes to no today. So schools may have alrady received August MCAT scores, or I will soon be getting a rejection from them. Oh well.

I checked my AMCAS application yesterday and all the schools I applied to re-downloaded my application earlier this week to get my new August scores.

i'm still waiting on vandy, but all the other schools that get the data electronically from amcas seem to have my scores now. yipee!

How often does Northwestern get updates? It's the only school that hasn't received a transmission since my AMCAS was verified on September 30. All of the other schools have updated at least twice since then. The only transmission date I have for NU is September 3, way before my application was verified. Do you guys think there is something wrong? Or does NU just not receive updates of the application as often as other schools?

I submitted primary AMCAS sep 30th. It was verified around mid october. took aug 02 MCAT for first time. Completed about 10 of 20 secondaries and no interview invites.

I took the Aug MCAT and recieved an interview from a Texas school just the other day. MCAT 29. GPA 3.86. Hope that eases your mind. My stats aren't that great and they wanted to talk to me. Good luck.

I am an August MCATer...33P MCAT 3.61 GPA. I just got an interview with U of Nebraska. I am a resident though, and I believe they send out interview invites to all NE residents...oh well, that's where I wanna go (so I can move back home and mooch of my parents 🙂 so, I'm excited!!! Other than that I haven't had any interviews...but that may be at least partly due to the fact that one of my professors has not sent out my LORs yet 🙁
