I have only gotten 1 interview so far, how many should i expect to have gotten so far if i applied in July? Also when should I start to get nervous? Like when is it too late to constantly check your email lol

28 MCAT, 3.8 cGPA 3.6 sGPA,

What are your EC's like? Depends a lot when you got your secondaries complete as well but regardless, it seems like ii should roll in for you no matter where you applied.

I have good Ecs, lots of research and leadership and volunteering. I really completed them at latest July 25

Where did you apply?

I appled to LECOM, CCOM, VCOM, MSUCOM, Nova, NYITCOM, PCOM , Touro-Harlem, Touro-California, DMU. DMU put me on hold 🙁

First off, you have good stats, not stellar stats. Second, it's not even September. Relax and be happy you HAVE an interview.

That's a solid list but you might want to add some back ups. People with higher stats have been rejected at those places. Not sure why DMU put you on hold.

I mean I don't really have a lot of experience but I would think as long as you haven't heard no from the other places your app is still being reviewed and there is still a good chance. You have better stats than other people who got interviews at those schools so I wouldn't worry quite yet.

But when is it too late to keep checking? Like when are interview offered in bulk usually? Till September? I was just never sure of this information.

Patience is a virtue in this process.

June, July or now, it depends on how many applicants there are in the entire pool and dealing with AACOMAS, how many applicants to particular schools, and how many people work at the Admissions office. Some of these schools, like Touro-NY, have to deal with admissions not only for the COM but other units of the university as well (ditto MUCOM, for one).

March would be too late. So sit tight.

Bulk interviews will be offered until at least end of November. I interviewed at DMU last cycle mid-December and there were groups of 12-15 interviewees going multiple days of the week. You also need to take into account regional and/or state preferences. MSU is HUGE on Michigan natives. Now I don't know where you're from, but you applied pretty across the board in terms of locations and you cherry picked high MCAT loving schools like Touro, CCOM, Nova, and DMU where 28 is becoming the average instead of a stand out applicant. Many people are applying I both 30+ for DO which steepens the competition.

Now I'm not saying you have anything to worry about, you just need to give it time and let your application circulate some more to the schools you applied to. If you haven't gotten rejected or put on hold, you're still in the game, and people got pulled off hold with DMU last cycle, I would know they are my classmates. And you have an interview somewhere which is huge, so don't worry and be happy. **Rastifarian voice**

Waiting is the worst part. When I applied (I applied in July too), I didn't get an interview invite until November (next one was in December, then one in March) so you still have plenty of time in the cycle. I would say it is too late to keep checking when the school sends you an email that they are done with interviews or in the late spring (April). The only thing you can do at this point is to check on your application status, update it when appropriate, apply to other schools and prep for your interview. Anything besides that is out of your hands. So find other things to take your mind off it. 🙂

thanks mon **Rastifarian voice** But ok, I'll basically take no news as good news for now. In my book I'll take DMU as a rejection for now but I will just have to be patient for the rest lol. Thanks again.

I have similar stats and only have interviews at 2/10 so far. I was complete around the same time as you. If you look at last years school specific threads you can see that a majority of interviews come in september and october. How they are picking people now is a complete crap shoot, there are both people with super high and super low stats getting interviewed. There are a couple of schools I am looking at where a ton of people being interviewed have significantly lower stats that me and yet I got nothing. Heck CUSOM is already throwing people acceptances, its bananas. In the end the interview invites will come, no worries man. The cycle is still so ridiculously early. Stay the course, I am learning just how random this whole thing is, it will all be good though.
