Hey guys! I didn't see an introduction thread anywhere, sorry if I missed it!

I'm currently an undergrad. Im about to begin my fourth year with only 48 credits. Ive changed majors several times, withdrew from one semester and failed all classes last semester due to my forty minute drive, sixty hour work and a parent with cancer. Probably no need to mention my very low GPA.

Ive always dreamt of being a doctor but the amount of school and training has turned me off. I finally decided to suck it up and buckle down. I'm starting a new job and hope to get A's from here on out.

A big question I have is where I can find information about schools. I'm less worried about stats and more interested in teaching methods and curriculum focus (I really don't want a research oriented school). A point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

The MSAR will give you admission information for a lot of the schools. If you look at US News and World Reports, it will give you the names of all the schools. You can check out the primary care rankings if that is what you are interested in. Regardless, once you have the school names you can narrow it down based on location and go to the individual websites for each school to read about curriculums. There will be contact information o the sites if you have more questions about particular portions of the curriculum. Good luck!

The AAMC publishes a book called the MSAR. It has information about the curriculum, mission, etc. of each school in a concise form, as well as the statistics for the accepted students from the previous year (GPA, MCAT, out of state vs. in state acceptances, etc.).
