I've been looking from my school's course catalog, and I can't seem to find the advanced version of some of the introductory courses.

For example, I can only seem to find the introductory courses for both cell biology and neuroscience in the course catalog (which is a bit of a mess because they split the catalog into semester viewings as well as different categories.)

By the way, this is the course catalog

Do the #'s for advanced courses for each college vary? (I know that some schools number their advanced courses from #3000-4000

How many advanced courses did you guys take in your sophomore/junior/senior year?

Numbering is different at every school. To sort of answer your question...it doesn't matter. Whether it's "intro to microbiology BIO 200" or "microbiology MMBIO 301", it's all the same to dental school. Just pay attention to the # of hours, some schools may require 3 or 4 hrs for a certain course.

So intro to microbiology BIO 200 and microbiology MMBIO 302 are basically the same? I always thought microbiology MMBIO 302 would be the advanced course while introduction to microbiology BIO 200 would be the "easier" course since the numbering normally indicated which course is harder and which is easier

Thanks for the clarification!
