Is anyone interviewing at the University of Iowa on Monday?

Megalofyia, how did your Iowa interview go? I was just there the previous monday --dec 1. Are you instate or out of state?

My interview was pretty straightforward....Iowa's 5 standard questions, then a few standard questions from the interviewers and that was it. My interview was a bit short though which worries me. Who were your interviewers? I had two ladies, one was in psychiatry, the other in opthomology.

Dec 15th. I am an out of state applicant.

What were the 5 standard questions you got?

Wow, out of stater w/ an interview at iowa, you must have very good stats.

(not exactly word for word, but you get the idea)
Why medicine?
What would you do if your friend was addicted to drugs/alcohol?
Describe a time you showed compassion?

(not sure if this was one of the five)
What will make you a good physician?

Sorry, I cant remember the last two. For the 5 questions, the interviewers cannot give you any feedback, but they may refer back to it when you finish the questions. The sdn interview feedback on iowa is pretty good. Also, you may have to wait a bit for your interview.

Basically the day is just intro, lunch, interviews from 1-3pm or so. Your interview will be ~25 min long. All in all, a pretty relaxed interview.

hey.....i'm an out of stater and interviewed back in october...i got in too!!! lochmoor is right...those 3 were definitely asked...i think another was ... what are your hobbies/what do you like to do outside of class. the interview will be somewhat awkward if you dont have much to say...so try to give each of these some thought. but it really doesnt matter....cause i think they rate you on both your structured/unstructured interview portions...just have a few questions lined up for them so you don't get done too quick. overall, harmless and laid back interview. great admissions staff and students and i think you'll have a good time visiting.

I asked before but didn't really get a responce.

I was unable to get a student host so I am staying in the frat house.
Does anyone have any info on the frat house? How easy is it to walk from the frat house to the school?
