Hey guys, so what would you recommend for starting third year rotations an iphone (or other smart phone) or an ipod touch. I like that with the iphone you can have internet anywhere/receive calls but I also like that you don't have to pay 70 dollar a month with an ipod touch. Any advice?

In the hospital, you will will only be using Medscape and a medical calculator.

No internet needed for those. Use an iPod Touch.

carrying multiple devices is annoying, but the Touch should suffice.

what are you using for your current phone, and how much is your monthly service?

Eat the cost and go with the iPhone, you won't regret it.

I was leery of the cost too, but now, I can't imagine how I lived without it.

i bought a Touch for 3rd year and it's worked amazingly for me. no regrets. gonna upgrade to iPhone when the family plan allows... right now it's not doable

I got an iPhone, applied a 17% student discount, got Google Voice and then seriously downgraded my phone plan! With Google Voice, you can make free outgoing phone calls and make and receive free text messages. Personally, I find it really convenient to have everything in one place.
