If someone has anemia of Chronic Disease due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ferritin is an acute phase reactant so it would be elevated. How do you decide how much iron to give? In other words, does ferritin play a role in determining how much iron pt should receive?

It doesn't. You need to use tsat and if unclear can look at soluble transferrin receptor if there is concern for IDA and the clinical scenario is nebulous
