Hello my fellow peers,

Before you answer the subject line question, I just want to put out my current situation.

Currently I am in my second year in college and Im majoring in Biology. Im in a community college where ill be graduating in the spring 2015 with an associates degree in Biology. After this semester Ill be finished with most of my pre-req's for most pharmacy schools, they are down below

Year of Biology (A's)
Year of Chemistry(A's)
Year of English (A's)
Year of Organic Chemistry(B and "hopefully an A")
Statistics(B)
Calculus(A)
Anatomy and Physiology 1 (A)
and a couple of easy classes that was necessary for an associates (A's)

After this semester, i will be transferring to a 4 year school. This is where my question comes in place. Im wondering if i should apply for pharmacy schools in the fall 2015 and solely finish my last pre-reqs. Or should i finish my bachelors in biology and the remaining pre-reqs and apply after.

I plan on taking the PCAT in the summer, and currently studying for it,b

Im at a crossroads, please help.

I forgot to add my experiences and extra curricular:
Currently 20 and growing hours of volunteering at a local independent pharmacy (shadowing and doing small tasks mostly)
Freshman year: Servant Leadership Club (10+ hours of community work)
Sophomore year:Science Club-Officer Position
MESA Club- Treasurer.

No, save your money, you don't need a bachelor's degree to apply or matriculate into pharmacy school. With the exception of California, all you need is a PCAT, a pulse and some tuition $. Don't mention the phrase "using pharmacy school as a stepping stone to medical school" during your interview, and I can guarantee you'll get in with your grades. Work or volunteer as a technician during your application year instead.

Thanks for your input. I plan on applying this fall 2015 and hopefully start in my 4th year of college.

I posted this thread about having a degree, because on the UGA's pharmacy school website, they said a degree isn't needed but some students that have been accepted have degrees.

Btw the pharm schools I'm interested in are UGA, South, and Mercer (if anyone wanted to know)
