Is a LOR from a stats professor a non-science?

Thank you in advance!

I would say yes. From what I remember, stats falls within a math department course which doesn't count towards your sGPA.
Edit: But DO NOT tell this professor that it will be a non-science LOR. This is a sure way to lose a good LOR.
But math is BCPM?

But math is BCPM?
It may be BCPM under the undergrad standings but if I remember correctly (which I seldom do), math courses do not contribute to a sGPA. So I would then passume the rule also extends to a LOR.

But sGPA doesn't appear on a transcript. It's something you and AAMC calculate separately

One interesting piece of info.

Epidemiology counts on the AACOMAS, but may/may not for the AMCAS (depends on the class I believe).

Not sure if you have epi OP, just letting you know if you do.

Okay so what Im gathering is that for AACOMAS is a non-science but for AAMCAS it is?
