Who else here is sick of waiting for the mail everyday to find nothing for you except for a credit card application form.... especially when your mail man is extremely slow and often comes after 6:00pm. Sometimes i wish i could help him out with the load or walk along side of him and give him some words of encouragement to perk him up a bit.

I have sttod over the shoulder of my mailman three times...waiting for him to get to my box at the apartment complex...I HATE THE WAIT!

Man, I really feel for you guys 'cause I went through the exact same thing last year.

Plus, our mailman would ALWAYS get mail mixed up (we lived in a huge apartment complex) and put mail in other peeps boxes. What was worse was that most people wouldn't give the mail back or put it on top of the boxes, they'd just chuck it in the garbage if it wasn't for them.

About 2 months into the process I called Ohio State and asked if they had received my application because I hadn't heard from them. They said they sent me a letter 6 weeks prior. Turns out one of my neighbors four doors down had thrown it away.

I can picture it now:

jojo88 inconspicuously hides around the corner from his/her mailbox. From time to time, he/she peeks around the corner at the mailman. Occasionally, their eyes meet, and jojo88 acts cool by quickly turning his/her head and wistling as he/she pretends to answer a cell phone call.

I have the mail sickness too. My mailman thinks i'm wierd.

I know how everyone feels. Last week I didn't get any mail on Thursday - Saturday. I always get some junk mail at least!! I got worried in case I didnt get some dental school information, so I called the post office to find out I just didn't get any mail. Just think if 2 pre-dents lived together. It would be a mad rampage for the mailbox every day.

I will probably be worried what happen to other schools, if I have received my very first postcard or secondary.

Hey everyone,

We just moved to a new house, and I still have mail arriving at the old one. So I get the chance to collect mail twice a day: from my old mailbox and from my current one. THIS IS SO COOL !!! Even thought I have informed all schools that I have a change in the address some of them still send letters to the old address. So after I finish classes at school I go to may old house (since it is closer) and I see if there is something for me. If there is nothing then I get back in the car and I start thinking that I actually have another try with the mail for the day ? the new house mailbox. Unfortunately I usually get disappointed both times?

I am getting pretty paranoid too. I have been getting more and more disappointed as california schools starting to send out responses and I don't hear anything. My friends who have applied two month after me were getting interviews at UOP already. *sigh*. I haven't heard anything from USC. I just wanted to mention that USC is actually my top choice b/c its close to home and my father is a faculty at the med school, which leaves me a great benefit for attending USC with a huge chunk of tuition saved. I haven't been receiving the letters from USC like others have. Now that UCLA is sending out interviews, its just gonna make me more paranoid! Man, mailman has became the most expected person of my daily routine nowadays. well...lets keep our fingers crossed.

This IS tough. The week my application was sent out from AADSAS I received 3 letters per day for 5 days straight. Now that I have filled out the secondaries and sent them back I am in a drought and it seriously sucks. What's the typical time that one must wait before hearing a yay or nay with regards to an interview? It's nice that we are all in this together, huh?

AADSAS sent my application two weeks ago.

man i am so sick of the waiting for the mail game that i even give my mailman cold drinks, water, or any thing cold so that he could get my mail b4 6pm.

still doesn't work, and so i am now giving that up.
i just check it at 6.30pm already knowing that there is probably nothing from any dental schools.

and when i do get something, it says, your appl is now being reviewed, bla bla bla....

Just wait until after your interviews. Then you get to wait until December 1 for notifications of acceptance.

Yeah, but you're 99% guaranteed, Ahmad 😉 I wonder what some of the posters on this thread wouldn't trade to be in your shoes...

...what WOULD some of you give for the confidence of knowing you're going to be accepted at a school you're aiming for?
