Is any one student loan servicer better customer service than the others?

Sallie Mae is sneakily selective in what information they tell you. Are any of the other servicers better? How does one get a new servicer without consolidating?

Not sure but I know my direct loans through department of education are serviced through sallie Mae. Sallie Mae in this case must abide by the loan terms set forth by the DoE.

I've got Nelnet, no complaints so far. Website works well. I wonder how they get assigned, some of my classmates have other servicers, so it doesn't seem to go by school.

I started with Direct loans through the Department of Education, and then was switched to Great Lakes.
