Hey guys,

So I’m doing research this summer and taking two classes, but there’s one I really wanna take because it aligns perfectly with my research. If I audit it, would it look bad on my transcript?

It’s listed an online asynchronous class and I doubt I’d get off the waitlist for it but the idea of auditing came up. It’s not required for my major though it could fill a concentration requirement if I did actually take it for real.

My financial aid would cover the audit I think since I’m taking minimum credits for part time summer anyways.

Why would it look bad? It should just look like any P/F class. As long as it's not a medical school prereq, you will be OK! 🙂

I never seen auditing on a transcript. Can you Enlighten us as to why you think auditing would be a bad thing.?
I am just scared it will look like I changed goals last minute to avoid an F (even though I don’t think you can do that past drop week). It’s a 400 level class and I’ve not taken the prereq for it.

A pattern of those among a sea of good grades is what grade preservation looks like.

Auditing one or two courses is absolutely not a red flag.
