Hi!

I'm new on here and I have been studying for the DAT. I take the test in a month and I am worried about my Bootcamp scores...I'm averaging right around 18 for each section right now. I started with low scores around 15 and worked my way up. Is the DAT easier than Bootcamp? Any recommendations to increase my scores...mostly for BIO, GC and QR? Is reviewing the BC solutions thoroughly and doing Destroyer problems enough?

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat. Have my DAT scheduled for Sept. 8. Let me know if you have any questions or need a virtual study buddy for motivation. I know I need help through this process! :soexcited:

Go with the mindset that Bootcamp is easier! It'll make you study harder. If you go with the mindset that it's harder, you'll start slacking on tricky questions. An 18 is good with a month left to study! Get through Destroyer and BC a couple times, along with feralis notes! Watch Mikes/chads again while taking detailed notes.

Its about equal. Most people, myself included, tend to score higher on the real DAT, but it really depends on which test you get come game-day.

@orgoman22 , do you have any advice to help me increase my scores in each section? You seem to have helped many people in my situation. I do a decent amount of Destroyer problems for each section each day and review the solutions. I'm just worried I won't be able to increase my scores to at least 19. I'm struggling the most with BIO and QR.

Have you completed all the work in the 2017 DAT and Math Destroyer including the new QC problems? The Destroyer is not to be used for timing, it is for learning. I find that students that focus more on learning and less time focused on time tests tend to score higher. If you can get through the Destroyer and feel comfortable with the work you should be able to accomplish a score of 19 but why just a 19? Think 30 , go for it

Get through the Destroyer at least once, 2 times even better, and 3rd is a charm.

Feel free to message me if you have more questions regarding our materials.

I have attached the new problems in case you missed them before

I have not completed the Destroyers yet...I'm in the process. I will focus on doing a lot of problems each day this way I CAN finish them. I have 3 weeks to complete it, so I'll get on it! And you're right, I'll think 30!

Thanks for the advice!

Stay focused these next few weeks and if you don't have time to complete the Math Destroyer problems at least go through the QC problems I posted and look for any areas of weakness in the Math Destroyer and do those problems, BUT do all the Bio, Orgo and GC in the DAT Destroyer.

Good luck to you.

@orgoman22 , I'm making my way through the Destroyer problems. Everytime I do problems and take a practice test on Bootcamp, my score increases. I started at 15 for GC, OC and BIO...I'm now up to an 18 on all of them. I've done around 500 Destroyer questions so far, so I hope by the time I finish it I'll be scoring 20+ in each of the SNS sections.

Also, I have 3 weeks until my exam. Should I do Math Destroyer tests or the QR section of the DAT Destroyer + the new questions you've posted? I took only one of the Bootcamp QR practice tests (without studying) and got a 16. I'm obviously in a bit of a time crunch and have been focusing on the natural sciences.
