In his video, Chad gave two solubility rules that he said doesn't encompass everything, but just the most important points. For those of you who've taken the DAT, what do you think? Did you study the ones Chad didn't go over?

Thanks!

Don't know which ones you memorized but you should know these:

All group I metals, NH4, and NO3 are soluble.

All hydroxides are generally insoluble except for group I and Ca, Ba, Sr

All chlorides are generally soluble except Hg, Ag, and Pb.

All sulfates are generally soluble except Hg, Ag, Pb, Ca, Ba, and Sr.

I haven't even heard of anyone memorizing solubility rules to be honest because nobody seems to have come across a problem involving these rules on the real DAT.

I think Destroyer highlights the fact that CaCO3 and Ba2SO4 are insoluble. They could maybe show up. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong about them, though...
