Is ether polar or nonpolar?

In AP Cliff's bio they say it is nonpolar but I recall reading somewhere else that it is because the O can hydrogen bond with other molecules.

For the sake of the test it isn't polar because there are no Donatable Hydrogens to allow for polarity.
Think of at is more polar than alkanes though.

It isnt really polar...but it is soluble in h20(which is polar)

Cyclic ethers such as THF and 1,4 dioxane are soluble in water.

Diethyl ether is polar soluble- but anything with more carbons you are getting into slightly soluble barely soluble or not soluble.

why sp3 config for the oxygen molecule makes it polar
what is ether?
R-O-R what config does Oxygen have here? same as water there for its polar.
now for cyclic ethers. they are also polar due to same config. one side of molecule has slightly positive charge and the other side has slightly negative charge.
