Fam, I'm trying to figure out why there is so much radio silence. I got into a school, but for like the $100+ that we spend on submitting applications, you'd think we'd be afforded at least an R notice.

This limbo situation sucks badly.

With so many applications, yes. Of course it's not for just one spot, so getting autorejected like in an employment situation isn't that common.

I interviewed for a faculty position at Cal State Long Beach about a quarter Century ago. I'm still waiting to hear from them
