Is Harvard still offering interviews?

I still haven't heard anything back from Harvard--not even a rejection notice. How did Harvard contact those that applied regarding interviews and rejections? E-mail? AADSAS? Phone?

I am in the same boat :/ I called them about three weeks ago, and they said I'd probably hear back in two weeks so I'm not sure what to expect. Just sitting and waiting (and attending class and working....haha). I received the application complete letter on 9/22, so a while back. However, I was thinking maybe most people who applied to Harvard applied a lot earlier? Perhaps I just got stuck in the later pack? Or there is a very small envelope already on its way to me in the mail, but hopefully not!

I'm just trying to stay positive and keep my mind off it until I hear something. I suggest the same for you 🙂

same boat as you! i emailed january 3rd and never got a response. my app was complete 09/27, so it was a little later, but an inconsequential difference at this point. if u dont mind me asking, what are your stats? (mine are on predents)

Wow, it's nice to hear that other people are experiencing the same anxiety! I wish all of you luck as I know Harvard is my personal top choice by far 🙂

As for stats, I guess it wouldn't hurt to put out a couple numbers. AADSAS calculated my GPA to be 3.84 which is a bit higher than my school's calculations (I attend a 5th ranked school, there are five schools ranked 5th 😛) which is nice. My DAT was 26 overall (only revealing that number for privacy's sake). Extracurrics are good with strong research (3 authored publications 🙂). Also graduating with an MS along with my BA.

I'm not very well versed in the world of SDN, so I don't really know what "predents" refers to...would you mind directing me to this site (I am assuming this is where stats are posted)? Thank you 🙂

Predents (predents.com) is just a site with applicant info/stats and interviews/acceptance info. Look under people's names you'll see link sometimes.

And lol imrealgerman, I think I know you based on interview dates....I'm your shorter, more asian interview twin 🙂.

I wouldn't fret too much you guys. I know Harvard takes the time to carefully review every application that they receive. That's probably why it's taken so long for them to get to your applications, as they seem to really abide by this philosophy of not screening, which is commendable imo. And with your stats (26 DAT's, 3.8+ GPA's, very impressive!), there's no doubting that you'll receive serious consideration. GL!

I still haven't heard back. I called them on a few different days and never got through to a person... only to their voicemail box which was always full. I also e-mailed them last week on Tuesday and haven't received a response. I got the application complete e-mail on October 3rd.

Hopefully we all hear back soon!

I gotta admit though, it dampened my mood worse than I thought it would since: A) I was expecting to get rejected and B) I didn't think I was going to go there if accepted over Columbia/Stony Brook (though I have not been accepted to either of those anyway).

But I guess rejection is never fun. Or maybe it was my secret number 1 choice that I have been lying to myself about :::head explodes::: ahhhhhh

It was definitely my top choice until the Columbia interview. But I know the feeling. UMDNJ was above UPenn for me, but that rejection was still a little upsetting.

I'll let you know when my thin envelope comes from Harvard haha
