I go to a very small school (<2000 students divided over two campuses). We have no predental/premed commitees and I was curious as to whether or not this would hurt my odds of acceptance.
This. It looks really bad if your school offers one and you don't do it.It only hurts your chances if your school is known to offer a committee letter and you don't have one in your application.

same. didnt do committee and got in my top choice (state)My school had a committee but I skipped them because they seemed unreliable scheduling wise. And I got in to my state school---even though I know for a fact that people at that school know members of my pre-dental committee personally.
So, it doesn't seem important.
