I go to a very small school (<2000 students divided over two campuses). We have no predental/premed commitees and I was curious as to whether or not this would hurt my odds of acceptance.

It only hurts your chances if your school is known to offer a committee letter and you don't have one in your application.

This. It looks really bad if your school offers one and you don't do it.

Hey I was about to ask, my school has the committee for pre med/dents, but I don't have a good relationship with the professors, so I doubt that they will give me a good
evaluation or letter. So, would it be better off for me just not to get it?

Thx

No, some schools like GRU prefer individual letters. I went to a school with well known committee and chose not to use it.

Develop relationships with professors THIS semester and then use 3 of them to write the letters and make sure you cultivate relationships w/ science professors!

My school had a committee but I skipped them because they seemed unreliable scheduling wise. And I got in to my state school---even though I know for a fact that people at that school know members of my pre-dental committee personally.

So, it doesn't seem important.
