Is it absolutely too late to consider adding a school now?

I would be an out of state student, i have around a 3.9 and my dat is a 20AA.

I know there are schools with their deadlines still open, but is this a lost cause?

I would say its a bit late, but if your gung ho I would do it, whats $200-400 gonna cost you in the long run, I mean there cant be more than 4 programs that even have deadlines up until now....expensive private schools (NYU, TUFTS, BU) get desperate for high gpa applicants like you this time of year.

What you gonna lose aside from 300 dollars that you spend weekly on food anyway!

I'm considering adding some more schools as well, but not sure if it's worth it since we would be so late to the game. Does anyone know what percentage of offers are usually given out for the first round on Dec 1st? Would we need a much more competitive application to score an interview this late?

Most deadlines are already passed. It is too late for many schools. Check on AADSAS which ones are still accepting applications. Even then I wouldn't hold my breath adding schools in december.

A lot of schools say January or February deadline. Obviously there are a lot fewer seats available at this point.

Thanks for your advice yall, this was for a friend of mine looking to apply after getting rejected from the schools they applied too. They have decided not to apply again despite finding schools with their applications still open, so for anyone wondering in the future, i suppose it is possible
