Is it better to apply to HPSP or National Guard AMEDD while applying to medical school (right now) or later, around Oct - Apr only if I get an acceptance?

Current Army heatlhcare recruiter. Better to apply while applying to medical school because you can be awarded the scholarship pending a letter of acceptance. This will hold that scholarship spot for you so it won't close while you are awaiting that acceptance letter. PM me if you need any help!
