I will start taking my pre- reqs this coming semester (spring 2010), taking Bio 2 and Chem 1. Since currently I'm only taking 1 class I have some free time on my hand. I wanted to review some chem before I start the class since I haven't had chem in a while (hs). Is it better to review using a txt book (not the one used in class since I don't know which one yet) or read the summaries on the Kaplan MCAT study guide? I can use this one at the bookstore and it looks real good, pinpointing on the main concepts.

What do you guys think? I just want to have some basic foundation before I start the class, this way it ll be easier to Ace it

To be honest. I kinda wish I used the review books even when I was taking the classes. They provide pretty much everything you need to know in a basic way.

No, use it with the class like a text book.

Also... it is Chem I .. so they technically should be starting from ground level and building up assuming that the class has zero knowledge about chemistry. I'm sure reviewing couldn't hurt... especially if Chem I is a weed out course, like it was for my school.
