Is it expected or acceptable to send an update on volunteer hours or anything else post interview?

I interviewed in September and have continued my regular volunteering. I was wondering if I should send out an email to the school I interviewed at regarding volunteer hours.

Did ya indicate on your app that the activity is ongoing? If so, I don't see why you'd need to send an update hours, unless you need these extra hours to meet their requirements.
