Im using feralis notes and cliffs for bio review and I noticed that the Feralis states:
"Difference because prokaryotes have no mitochondria so they (unlike eukaryotes) don’t need to transfer pyruvate into the mitochondrial matrix (which is done via active transport thus costing ATP), they use cell membrane for respiration"
While Cliff's states:
"However, this number is reduced to 36 because the 2 NADH that are produced in the cytoplasm during glycolysis must be transported into the mitochondria for oxidative phosphorylation."
What am I missing here?
