I retook all of the classes I would be getting AP credit from at my university, except calculus. I never took calculus at my university, but instead I took stats and computer science to fulfill the math requirements for medical schools.

I was wondering if is necessary to include AP coursework taken in high school into AMCAS. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that you only need to include AP credits if you want to use them to satisfy prereq's

I don't think medical school allows Ap credit for calculus did you talk to your counselor?

I think you only have to include AP credit if the credit reflects on your college transcript. Otherwise, you're free to ignore it.

Some schools do accept AP credits, but the OP has stated that he/she took statistics and Comp Sci for the requirement.

Actually it seems as if I did receive credit for my AP classes on my official transcript. However I didn't receive a grade. I'm guessing I should include AP classes in my AMCAS? I don't need to send in official transcripts from high school, right?

And I will list the AP courses under my first semester at my university?

You do not need to send in a HS transcript if it appears on your college one. Also, AP credits can be used as prereqs 95% of the time (ex UCLA won't let you) you just get no grade for them.

No need to send a high school transcript. Just put the AP credits on the application and send it in. if they don't like it they will remove it when they verify it.

You should fill out the coursework portion of your application to exactly match your official college transcript. So, include whatever AP coursework appears on your college transcript, and do not include AP coursework that is not indicated on your college transcript. They only care about your college transcript; do NOT send a High School Transcript to AMCAS.

As an FYI, there is an entire section in the AMCAS Instruction Manual on entering AP coursework, as well as an instructional video on the AMCAS website devoted to the same subject.

I included them in the summer before freshman year (i.e., I began in the Fall of 2007 but listed AP credits under the Summer of 2007). I doubt that it really matters when you list them, but include all of them under the same time period.
