Hi- I took some summer courses that were not included on my original AMCAS app. Is it advisable for me to send updated transcripts to admissions officers? A few of the secondaries allowed me to do this on the app, but most did not. They are A's.
If so, should I make out a little letter and include the transcript and send it through regular mail, or should I just do it through an email.
Thanks.

I would send it mail because the schools are probably going to want an official transcript from your registrar's office. I would probably include a note as well stating what the transcripts are for.

I got an official transcript....however, it might be a problem to get a new official one for each school as I applied to 10+ schools (not sure what the policy is at my undergrad school). How awful would it be to send an unofficial xeroxed copy? Would that be acceptable, or a little pathetic?

I don't think that would be acceptable...The policy at my school is you can get 2 transcripts a day for free after that it is like $1 a transcript. I would try to send official transcripts if at all possible. I don't even know if a school would take an unofficial transcript.

Some schools say explicitly that you shouldn't send updated transcripts unless they specifically request it. Maybe you should call each school to ask.
