I don't know about you but I feel like I am the only person in the world who just isn't good at PAT or math. I am fine with science but there is so much to remember I am scared I'll forget it all during the test. This is the last hurdle to get into dental school and I can't screw this up...do you feel like this too?

haha i have my test tomorrow and i feel exactly the same way. I am afraid of getting to the sciences and just blanking on everything bc i have shoved so much info into my head and for the PAT im going to pray because i am awful at angles and pattern folding lol.

I keep reading all these posts about people doing amazing on their DAT and I just doubt my abilities to do the same thing! But you know what? We got this! We can do well. We are smart amazing people and no standardized tests will keep us from being dentists! Good luck tomorrow, let us know how you do.

Don't doubt it. You all will do great. I've noticed that people on here tend to do much better than the average person. Reading posts on here makes me feel that my 20 AA is below average!

I am certain it is normal for those who put in the effort to do well.

If you are stressing out that is good. Most people who don't do above average probably don't take it as seriously.

This experience is sort of a rite of passage on the road to becomming a Dentist. Anyone who wants it bad enough will submit themselves to it. I don't see lines of Dental School grads outside prometric waiting to repeat the DAT as it was such a wonderful part of the process. My theory is that it is supposed to be one of those 'no pain no gain' miserable experiences designed to test candidates not just intellectually but also mentally in terms of the pressures and self-discipline.

But, we can do it, just as thousands have done it before.👍

We just keep chipping away at it, and before we know it, we'll be the one making the post, "I can't believe I took it today...":xf:

And at least there is no soap carving (sorry to Canadians if you still have to do this)
