My tooth 31 has a tiny crack, so my dentist placed a crown last week. The only problem is that there is very mild pain when I chew on it. The crown has not stopped this pain. There is no lingering pain after I chew on it.
I figure I have 2 choices....
A. Get a root canal, which would remove the nerve and make the tooth brittle.
B. Chew only with my left molars for years, which would be cheaper, and keep tooth 31's nerve alive.
Would choice B be detrimental to my teeth and gums over long periods of time?
