Is it okay to go into this exam by doing only 1-2 pratice tests?

I never found the NBME's to be useful for Step 1 prep since there is no explanation for your wrong answers and my scores were usually all over the place. I do like the UWorld self assessments so I'll probably do one of those before I take the test. Is this okay for a US med student? Most of the people I've seen taking a bunch of practice tests seem to be IMGs for some reason.

I feel like - you should do them if you feel you want/need to, otherwise you should not. There is neither a general rule, nor a particular selection for IMGs. It seems that the NBMEs for step 2 ck are even less predictive than for step 1. So if you didn't find them helpful for Step 1....
