Is it possible that schools haven't gotten to my app yet?

I submitted all of my apps approximately before Labor Day, between August 28 and September 2. Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from anywhere. I objectively believe that I have a solid app, 4.0, 515, 7 publications, great rec letters, great research, great leaderships, great ECs, etc. I also applied broadly to about 45 schools, and I don't believe it was top heavy. Overall, is it possible that most schools haven't read my app yet since I submitted close to the Labor Day surge or am I just being neurotic?

Very possible. It’s been less than a month.

I hate to be the one to tell you but in all likelihood, your applications might be queued for review in November. Schools are just that backed up at this point. You are likely to get interviews but not until Dec-Feb.

Eh, fine by me. 'tis the way of the world.

Also, I gained 15 pounds while studying for the MCAT, so I guess this gives me time to return back to shape. Haha

Thanks for the insight though. Glad I know this, so that I'm not checking my email constantly for the next few weeks.

Omg same! Except it was 10 lbs. I lost it all already doing intermittent fasting (IF) so I highly recommend IF

Yeah I would just be patient and wait. Worry about it if you haven't gotten anything by Thanksgiving.
