I recently read that a med student finished step 2 of the boards right after 3rd year. Is it possible to take the second part of dental boards and the clinical test at the end of third year, or is there still stuff that needs to be learned?

Oh and do you think that there will be changes in the clinical exam by the time I take them, 4-5 years from now?

one last thing, I've heard that med students spend have their fourth year simply applying in the Residency matching system, studying for the boards and relaxing. Is dental fourth year similiar, or is it still demanding?

Thanks for your two cents.
